Below are the Dribbling Guides and Tips you can use on NBA 2K17
We’re going to start with the hesitation dribble – to activate you flick the right stick towards the hand the ball is in. So the ball is in the right hand, you aim the stick to the right and if you go left you aim in left. It’s effective because when you rise up your defender freezes to respect your ability to pull up the shoot. That’s your changing the speed the defender is moving. And somebody who constantly forces a defender to change speeds is hard to guard. Because they’re forcing you to stop and start before you know it they went by you. This is how guys like Steve Nash to blow by defendants with ease even though he isn’t the fastest down the work.
Next is the hesitation escape – what you do by hitting RT or R2 then flicks the right stick towards the ball. Either move to the side or back as once your hesitation move is done.
Now is the signature rhythm dribble – you started by flicking the right stick towards the bass can you play over from its own signature size of your book.
Now we have the signature size of combo – if I flicking the right stick in any direction quickly you can change together different signature size of combos.
Next is the in and out dribble – and you do this by hitting RT or R2 and flick the right stick towards the hoop. It’s a way to fake one way to either freeze the defender in place or get them to rock the other way opening up a lane for you to drive.
Now is the crossover dribble – you achieve this by flicking the right stick towards your oddball hand. This is a counter to defenders who overcome it to you drive so you cross the ball over to the other side leaving the defender guard’s head.
Next is the crossover escape – you hold RT or R2 first, then flick the right stick towards your off ball in. And you now can explode to a crossover out of this animation by flicking the right stick back the other way while holding RT or R2.
Now is the between the legs cross – you aim the right stick towards the heel of the side of your off ball hand simulating the between the legs action. So if you’re off ball hand is your left, aim the right stick down and to the left. And the Fisher right hand, you aim down to the right.
Now I’m gonna go over the behind the back dribble – you do this by moving the right stick away from the hoop and going behind the back while driver completely protects the ball from the defenders in front of you until you expose the ball again a shooter pass. It’s also allowing you to change directions very quickly.
Next is the step back – you need to hold RT or R2 and then flick the right stick away from the hoop. You do this to get separation on your defender to open up space for a shot.
To perform a spin move – you rotate the right stick from the ball hand around your players back to his offhand. This is a counter for defenders who cut you off where you going and it can create that extra half second for you to get your shot off in the lane.
The next move is the half spin – you won’t take the right stick from your ball hand to the hoop. You do this to get the finish to hesitate or overplay the possibility of a spin. So when you’ve made the move if success with the defender where they’re slightly slid out the way expecting the spin opened up a lane for you.
And lastly is the moves you can do from the triple threat position where you have the option to pass dribble or shoot. You can attempt the Triple Threat jab by flicking the right stick quickly to the left or right. You do this to get the defender to over commit to one of your fake, so you can take advantage of it and go the other way.
There’s a triple door combo that by moving the right stick towards the hoop then letting go. Let you explode to the hoop if the defender doesn’t react to you leaning fold.
You can do the triple threat step back then hold the RT or R2 then flicking the right stick away from you. Who attempts to create space for you to get your shot off.
And lastly the Triple Threat spin by rotating the rise it around your players back. He attempts a spin move out of the standstill position.
